Creedence Energy Services is an independent production and midstream chemical company working with oil and gas operators across several US basins. The company was co-founded in 2014 by CEO Kevin Black, is headquartered in Minot, North Dakota, and runs a southern US corporate office in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Its work divides into three lines: oil and gas chemicals, acidizing and stimulation, and technical and analytical services.

Alongside a general suite of oil and gas chemicals, the company states that it specializes in scale remediation and production stimulation treatments. It describes the aim of its programs as helping producers improve equipment runtimes, reduce failure rates and optimize production.

Production chemicals and stimulation

Laboratories and technical services

Primary analytical laboratories sit in Williston, North Dakota and Odessa, Texas, positioned for quick turnaround on the analyses used to build and adjust chemical programs. The labs cover analyses offered, equipment capabilities and technical services, and are used to diagnose production system problems as well as to design treatment programs. The company states that its team handles fluids from all major US basins, including the matrix effects that complicate those analyses.

Technical work is led by Vice President of Technology Eric Nelson, a University of North Dakota chemistry graduate who previously served as a technical specialist for Baker Hughes Upstream Chemicals and managed the Baker Hughes analytical laboratory in North Dakota. Technical trainer Dan Bestgan holds a B.Sc. in chemistry from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and has more than 15 years in production chemicals, including technical support roles at Baker Hughes before joining Creedence in 2023.

Named products

Two chemistries appear in the company's product announcements. C-SI 620 is a halite inhibitor that Creedence reports has been trialed and implemented in the field, with reduced halite deposition and a 50 to 70 percent reduction in fresh water injection. C-1031 is an oil phase hydrogen sulfide scavenger for crude oils, which the company says improves scavenging efficiency and lowers product usage.

Safety is presented under a program the company calls the Total Safety Approach, stated as a standing priority of zero incidents, zero injuries and zero spills.
