Flowco Production Solutions

Flowco Production Solutions designs, manufactures and services artificial lift and production optimization systems for oil and gas exploration and production operators. Its work covers plunger lift, conventional gas lift, high-pressure gas lift and electric submersible pumps, together with the automation that monitors them. The company describes its focus as the production phase of the well lifecycle, from first production through late life.

It operates as part of Flowco, a platform organized into two segments, Production Solutions and Natural Gas Technologies, which also carries the Estis, Flogistix and Valiant brands. Flowco states that it runs more than 4,300 active systems across every major onshore U.S. basin, and lists API Q1 certification and ISO 9001 against its manufacturing.

Artificial lift systems

• Plunger lift, including SurgeFlow, continuous flow, fast fall, conventional and multi-stage plungers, ultra-duty bumper springs and lubricators
• Conventional gas lift, covering gas lift valves, mandrels and surface compressor packages
• High-pressure gas lift (HPGL), a surface-controlled method with no downhole moving parts, in gas drive (WOLF, GRIZZLY) and electric drive (e-WOLF, e-GRIZZLY, e-MAMMOTH) units
• Electric submersible pumps in the Endeavour line, with Viking motors, seals and downhole sensors
• Horizontal pumping systems and Pulse variable speed drive controls

The company states that HPGL delivers production volumes comparable to ESPs while keeping the lift equipment at surface, and reports mechanical availability above 99 percent. It describes the system as suited to high gas-oil ratio wells, sandy formations and highly deviated wellbores, with gas-powered units able to run independent of the electrical grid and electric drive configurations available where infrastructure exists. HPGL units are offered on lease.

ESP systems are supplied for both unconventional horizontal and conventional wells, and cover gas management, deviated wells, abrasive wells, linear ESPs, variable speed drives and cables.

Digital products give operators remote monitoring and supervisory control of deployed equipment. Flux Web reports unit performance, Flux Connect provides remote access over VPN and VNC, Flux Real Time API delivers continuous access to collected data, and Logix PLC handles unit control.

The Natural Gas Technologies side of the business supplies vapor recovery units, wellhead compression and ZTECH4, a methane abatement technology the company describes as capturing fugitive emissions and converting them into usable energy. Flogistix, the brand behind that work, reports more than 8,000 units in service and operations in Mexico, Argentina, Nigeria, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Canada and Bolivia alongside the United States.
